The first school term will begin on Monday the 26th of January for teachers to attend their first staff meeting.
Normal classes for school children will begin on Tuesday the 27th.
This has been confirmed by the Interim Education Minister Filipe Bole to Fijivillage, who requests parents to ensure that students are present on the first day of school.
Bole said for those affected by the flood, the Ministry trusts that arrangements will be made between the school and the parents to allow students to attend school, so that their education is not compromised in any way.
He said school managements and committees are requested to ensure that all the schools are in order for the news school year.
