The Tri Lingual Policy Program will be fully implemented in schools around the country from the first term of school next year.
Interim Education Minister Filipe Bole said there are no reasons to say that the program will fail as preparations are going well. He added teachers were trained and transferred to the schools for this program alone.
When asked on the comments made by Fijian Teachers Association General Secretary Maika Namudu that the Tri Lingual Policy will never bring about any changes and maintained that Fijian language should be made compulsory in all schools, Bole said that there is no harm in learning enhancing ones language while also learning the language of the other races in the country.
Bole believes that the Tri Lingual Policy contribute to a peaceful, multi ethnic and multi cultural living in Fiji.
