The Savusavu Chamber of Commerce is now working with relevant authorities to increase the number of cruise ships visiting Savusavu.
President Mahesh Charan said the Savusavu economy mainly relies on the tourism industry and there is huge potential of Savusavu becoming the main tourist destination in Fiji.
According to Charan, close to 1,600 tourists flocked into Savusavu town yesterday which brought a lot of relief to the business community.
