Savusavu soccer team is expected to play in the promotion relegation series after losing their final National League match against Nadroga by 3 goals to 1 yesterday afternoon.

National League Board Secretary Jainendra Sukhu said that Savusavu finished last on the League table with nine points and whether or not Savusavu plays in this series will be decided in Fiji FA’s Annual General Meeting next month.

Sukhu added this was due to the proposal made by the National Soccer League sponsors that there will only be eight teams next season.

Meanwhile, in other matches yesterday Navua beat Tavua 1-0, Suva defeated Labasa 2-1 while Lautoka edged Rewa 1-0.

Ba has won the league title with 45 points while Suva finished second with 41 points.
