With arrival of another cruise ships scheduled for tomorrow, the people of Savusavu are gearing up for the 1000 plus visitors.
Savusavu and Labasa Special Administrator Vijay Chand said they are expecting the arrival of two cruise liners during this month, one of which will be tomorrow, and the second being on the 26th.
Chand said past visits have seen a major boost in businesses and also gave a chance to those living in surrounding villages a chance to earn an extra income.
When asked about future developments in the town as it has been eyed as a tourism hot spot, Chand said one thing that while they welcome development, the unspoilt natural surroundings has always been their strong attraction to most tourists.
Two more cruise liners are expected to visit Savusavu this month.
