Savusavu experience calmness
A resident of Savusavu, Helen Tabucala said that they only experienced heavy rain in the early hours of the morning.
Motorists in the Northern Division are requested to take precautionary measures while driving as the roads in the North are in poor condition due to the current weather.
According to the Acting Director National Roads Paula Baleilevuka, in Labasa Road East, Nayarabale Road, the Urata Bridge is underwater and is closed to all traffic while Lakeba Road, there is a depression and boggy status and the road is also closed to all traffic at Qelewara Hill.
In Labasa Road West, Waidamudamu Rd is only open to light vehicles as the road is soggy, the Wairiki Road Irish Crossing is damaged, therefore it is close to all traffic.
Nabouwalu Rd is only open to all light vehicles from Nakawakawa Bridge to Sawani Bridge, as it is boggy area.
Kubulau Peninsular is also only open to light vehicles as there are landslides in various places.
In Savusavu, the Dakuniba Road is closed to all traffic at Nawi Village due to a landslide.
Nakobo Road is closed to all traffic as well because of its boggy conditions.
