A 3 year old boy of Savusavu has died after a pot of boiled rice fell on him a few days ago.
The pot was on the stove when the boy who was left unattended pulled the boiling rice off the stove.
He sustained serious burns and was taken to the Savusavu hospital and later to the Labasa hospital where he passed away at 2pm yesterday.
Police are calling on members of the public not to leave their children unattended.
