The Savusavu Tourism Association President is hoping to have talks with authorities to have an expansion at the Savusavu Airport to attract more tourists.
Greg Taylor said while they welcome the renovation works currently being undertaken at the airport, he is hoping to put forward a proposal to the interim government to have the runway extended to cater for bigger planes.
Taylor had also welcomed the Vanua Levu Hotel Development initiative announced in the National Budget as it will help attract more people to invest in the tourism industry in Savusavu, as well as other parts of Vanua Levu.
