LDS Senior Boys sprinter and current Coca Cola Games Blue Ribbon champion Mataiasi Savou won the Senior Boys 100 metres finals this afternoon in 10.79 seconds.

Savou is expected to also win the 200 metres finals to be held later this afternoon.

Meanwhile Wainimakutu Secondary School in Namosi is currently leading the medal tally in the girls division in the Suva Zone 1 competition with 5 gold, 6 silver and 1 bronze.

The girls from Namosi dominated the finals in the 400 and 800 metres that have just been completed.

Looking at the other schools in the running, AG has 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze while Namosi Secondary is third with 2 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze.

In the boys division, currently leading is Dudley High School with 3 gold 3 silver and 3 bronze, second is Wainimakutu with 2 gold 2 silver and 2 bronze while Suva Muslim and RSMS are tied in third place with 2 gold each.

Competition continues at the TFL stadium.
