Suva Grammar Schools Mataiasi Savou has been crowned the Blue ribbon champion as he took out the Senior boys 100 meters final title in the last hour after Marist Brothers High Schools star runner, Banuve Tabakaucoro was disqualified for two false starts.
The nerves and the tension took its toll as Laisiasa Tuisawau of QVS was also disqualified for the third break starts.
Savou finished the race with a time of 10.78 seconds while the old record stands at 10.74 seconds.
