The FRU Games Committee is behind Savou to lead Fiji's campaign in the next five IRB 7s tournaments.
Speaking to Village sports, Games Committee Chairman Rafaele Kasibulu has confirmed Savou stays on as coach.
Kasibulu adds the loss to Samoa in the Wellington quarter finals should not be used to gauge Savou's coaching ability.
Meanwhile, the Fiji 7s team arrived in San Diego last night. The tournament kicks off on Sunday with our first game at 8.12 in the morning against Australia. Then Fiji takes on West Indies at 11.18, and their last game is at 2.46 in the afternoon against Samoa.
