“It was a little bit scary but also very exciting”!

Those are the words of former Fiji U12 captain Filimoni Savou, who played for the Saracens Academy side on Sunday against Academies of six other Premiership teams.

The 14 year old played against 15 and 16 year old players respectively, and former Flying Fijians captain Mosese Rauluni said Savou made some big tackles, some good line-breaks and  helped his team a lot.

He even set up three of the four tries scored by his team.

After the match Savou mingled with players including Kameli Ratuvou, Michael Tagicakibau, former England captain Steve Borthwick and Rugby World Cup winner Richard Hill.

Savou is on a scholarship at Terrington Hall in North Yorkshire.
