Hurricanes coach, Chris Boyd has clarified that star wing Julian Savea was not dropped from the 23 men squad to face the Kings tomorrow because of fitness issues.
The form and fitness of Savea have been talking points through the first four rounds of the Super Rugby season.
Boyd says Savea is being rested to give players a chance to prove themselves.
The Hurricanes play the Kings at 6.35pm Friday.
