While Cory Jane is expected to start against the Wallabies this weekend, the left wing berth is open, with powerhouse wingers Julian Savea and Hosea Gear looking to be in a two-way tussle to start.

The battle indicates that strong running wingers are back in while Jane’s likely presence almost gives the All Blacks a second fullback.

Savea scored three tries against Ireland in a dream debut that had many comparing the Hurricanes wing to Jonah Lomu.

Alongside Savea is Hosea Gear, who finished the Super Rugby season with the most running metres of any player - again proving his capabilities with ball in hand.

Australia will host the All Blacks at 10:05pm this Saturday while South Africa meets Argentina at 3am.
