Despite receiving requests from parents for assistance, Save the Children Fiji will not be able to assist students financially.
Save the Children Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Chandra Shekhar said they are still getting requests for financial assistance from those parents who have lost their jobs or are not able to afford their children’s lunch and bus fares.
However, Shekhar said they do not have funding to assist the students who need help.
Save the Children Fiji assisted more than 10,000 students in the past few months who were affected by the flood in January this year.
