Save the Children Fiji has raised concern on the incident where a 16-year-old girl was reported missing by her father however it was later discovered that the girl was at a friend's place.
Child Rights Manager Sosoia Tapueluelu said parents and children need to be responsible and ensure there is a communication between them.
Tapueluelu said parents need to know the whereabouts of their children.
16-year-old secondary school student Talei Davina Koroitukana was reported missing by her father last Tuesday after she failed to return home last month after the Coca Cola games.
After hearing the matter reported over the radio Koroitukana contacted her family and informed them that she had gone to spend time with her friends.
