Save the Children Fiji Chief Executive Chandra Shekhar said they are currently reconfirming the number with schools in the flood affected areas on how many students need bus fares and lunch on a daily basis.
He said Save the Children's 1st stage of work was to supply stationary to the students which is underway and the 2nd phase is to provide lunch, fees and bus fares.
Shekhar said they have managed to assist more than a thousand students in the western Division with educational supplies.
He said assistance is still continuing and more students are now coming up asking for help.
