Stationery will be given to the students but Save the Children cannot pay for all their school fees and bus fares.
Those were the words of Chief Executive Officer Chandra Shekhar who said there is an increase in the number of students who need assistance after they were affected by the floods.
Shekhar said in their first survey they estimated a total of 3,000 students to be affected by flood but this has increase by 1,000 thousand.
Shekar is calling on other donors to come forward and help these children.
Shekhar highlighted that 2,533 students have received their stationery as of yesterday.
In the Western division 27 schools with 763 students have been assisted with a total of $81,525 given for bus fare and lunch for 5 weeks only.
