As part of their continuing programme to support parents of children affected by the Vatukoula Gold Mine closure, Save the Children will be implementing their backyard gardening programme.
Chief Executive Chandra Shekar said even though there is a provision to continue their assistance to families in the new school year, they are also looking at alternate ways of providing food for the families affected.
Shekar said they are urging parents to take part in this activity as it will help them save money on buying food.
