Save the Children Fiji has revealed that they have now started with their assistance programme for those children who have been affected by the floods in the western division.

Chief executive Chandra Shekhar said officials from Save the Children Fiji were in the western division over the weekend to provide assistance.

He said they are also liaising with various school principles and head teachers to assist those who need bus fares and lunches.

According to Shekhar, money will not be given to school children as it will be channeled through school.

He said they are providing students with stationery and exercise books.
