Naitasiri hooker Vereniki Sauturaga, playing at flanker for the FMF Flying Fijians, failed to impress coach Ilivasi Tabua in the first warm-up match against FC Auch this morning in France.

Sauturaga was replaced by Ifereimi Rawaqa at the break, putting his chances the first 15 in doubt for their World Cup opening match against Japan on 13th September.

Isoa Neivua could be the first choice wing after he scored one of the three tries in today's game while Waisale Luveniyali, Norman Ligairi, Mosese Rauluni, Seremai Bai, Jone Qovu and Seru Rabeni all impressed Tabua.

FMF Flying Fijians lost the match 29-20 this morning and will now meet Sporting Club Albi in the second warm-up match on Sunday.

Tabua is expected to make wholesome changes to his side for the second match.
