In an objective to improve mathematics skills and knowledge of secondary school students in the Central Division, Indian College has been running Saturday classes for the past five years.
Outgoing Principal Gulab Singh said the three hour math class is for forms one to seven and about 300 students attend classes every week. Singh believes other schools should also begin this Saturday class’s programme.
Students who attend classes are also from Navua and Nausori schools.
Traveling and other costs of teachers are paid by interested students.
