Former national 7s and 15s rep Apolosi Satala marked his first appearance for Gloucester with a win against Wasps in the EDF Energy challenge this morning.

Satala playing in the blindside spot made an impressive debut in the 24-19 win marking his first grade run-on in style.

Satala is likely to pair up with injured national openside flanker Akapusi Qera in the near future for Gloucester.

Meanwhile, Fijian reps continue to hit the headlines in the Top 14 competition in France as Maleli Kunavore marked his return to his Toulouse side scoring 2 tries in their 28-10 win against Castres.

But in South Africa, the Currie Cup competition is over for Sireli Naqelevuki despite his side’s 14-6 win against the Lions.

Western Province needed to win by a 19 point margin but the Lions defense denied them a spot in the playoff.
