Former National 7's Rep Apolosi Satala could not help his Gloucester side as they went down to Cardiff Blues 16 points to 12.

Satala don the number 7 jumper again and was in his usual form with some crucial turnovers but his side failed to live up to their expectation.

Although the Blues were playing with only 14 players in most part of the game after winger Tom James was red carded in the 27th minute of the first half, their remarkable performance have seen them been handed a home draw in the Heineken Cup 1/4 finals.

Satala's Gloucester, who gained a losing bonus point, must now defeat 2006 runners up Biarritz in France to be in the quarter finals.
