French President Nicolas Sarkozy is in New Caledonia on his first presidential visit to the Pacific.
Sarkozy will open the Pacific Games in seven hours time.
Meanwhile, the second contingent of Team Fiji will leave today bound for New Caledonia.
Team Fiji Soccer will open the Pacific Games when they take on Tahiti at 4pm.
