The Festival of Lights is not only about light and cleanliness but also about sweets and savouries.
These are the words of Anirudh Diwakar, the programs director of our sister radio station Radio Sargam who believes that it is necessary to reward the ladies who cook these sweets and savouries from weeks leading up to Diwali.
Diwakar said that they are running a Diwali Dish Competition which will see 3 ladies coming up with the most nutritious and beautifully decorated sweets and savouries getting prizes.
The Diwali Dish Competition will be judged next Friday by the Food and Nutrition Centre and a few well known personalities.
Diwali falls on the 17th of this month.
