Nasinu Secondary school's Jale Sarasau was last night named Player of the Year in the Southern Zone Secondary Schools awards night held at Lambert Hall in Flagstaff.

Sarasau was the star of the Nasinu secondary under 19 team, leading them to play in the Southern Zone final against Suva Grammar Two side and also scored 6 tries in the competition.

Suva Grammar School's Anare Vakawale Tabua was runner up to Sarasau.

In the under 14 division Suva Grammar's Filimoni Seru was named Player of the Year while Grammar's Paula Tabaki also took the top honours in the under 15 division.

The under 16 Player of the Year was Mitchell Snodgrass from Marist Brothers High School, Jope Dausiga was named under 17 Player of the Year and Patrick Kong from Marist Brothers won the under 18 award.
