Suspended Nadi Town Councilor, Sanjit Patel is still awaiting Interim Local Government Minister's directive to re-instate him and two other councilors soon as possible.
Patel said they have been on suspension for the last three months and have lost the opportunity to serve the ratepayers of Nadi.
According to Patel, they have been wrongfully terminated as they have not missed any council meetings as claimed by the Council. Patel believes they were terminated because they were raising questions on some alleged mismanagement of council funds.
Nadi Town Council and the Local Government Ministry are still getting legal opinions on whether a correct decision was made when Sanjit Patel, Dharmesh Motiram and Liliana Keith Reid were suspended.
