Samoa will host a historic Test match against the Vodafone Fiji Bati in Apia on 8th October which is Samoa's first official Test match on home soil.
The announcement was made today by John Grant the Australian Rugby League Commission Chairman.
Along with supporting the match financially, the NRL will also provide one of its leading NRL referees with senior staff and management.
Grant says it was a fitting way for Samoa to celebrate 30 years of Rugby League in the country as well as the Fiji Bati.
Meanwhile, the PNG Kumuls edged the Fiji Bati 24-22 while Samoa beat Tonga 18-6 last night.
