Samoa will have some added motivation when they go against New Zealand tonight on day one of the Cape Town Sevens.
Samoa finished seventh in the Dubai 7s last weekend.
Coach Damian McGrath was pleased to achieve their goal of reaching the quarter finals but says they were robbed of a semifinal spot when officials missed an off the ball incident, allowing New Zealand to win.
McGrath says Samoa will seek revenge tonight.
Meanwhile, New Zealand has made six changes to their 12‑men squad for the Dubai Sevens.
Teddy Stanaway, Antonio Kiri Kiri and Max Pearson have all come in for Sir Gordon Tietjens' side and are set for debuts tonight.
New Zealand lost captain Scott Curry, former sevens player of the year Tim Mikkelson and Gillies Kaka to injury in the Dubai 7s last weekend.
DJ Forbes will captain New Zealand in the Cape Town Sevens.
New Zealand is pooled with Samoa, France and Canada.
The Cape Town 7s will kick off at 9.15pm.
