The Samoan Rugby Sevens side made an impressive start in the Fiji Water Cenntenial International 7's after winning all their pool matches.

The Islanders won their first two matches beating Solomon Islands 43-0 and thrashed neighbors American Samoa 45-0 before putting a strong performance to outclass Australia 26-12.

Samoan coach Viliamu Punivalu said they still have some areas to improve on despite being undefeated on Day One. 


Meanwhile the Digicel Fiji 7's side is currently playing the last pool match against Papua New Guinea.

Fiji looks good to top pool A after convincing wins over Tuvalu 48-0 and thrashed Cook Islands 41-0 earlier today.

In the international 7's, the Westfield Barbarians playing as Fiji Warriors were the crowd favorite after beating 7's giants France and Argentina.

Former national sevens rep Osea Kolinisau and Semi Kunatani were the outstanding players who led the western based side.

Despite losing to Fiji Babarians 24-14, Westfield Babas defeated France 21-10 and later beat the fast pace Argentinian side 17-5.

The Fiji Water Centennial Oceania and International 7's continues tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium.
