The much anticipated Uprising Fiji International 7s tournament has kicked off at the TFL stadium with Samoa now playing Nadroga.
The battle will be between some of the well known brains in the 7s rugby code in the world and locally and an interesting lineup of fixtures have been drawn up for the first day.
Following the Samoa-Nadroga match, Red Rock will take on US Grizzlies at 9.22, NZ Maori will play Samurai at 9.44 and the Digicel Matai team will play its first match against Uprising at 10.06.
7s wizard, Waisale Serevi is be part of the Digicel Matai side while, New Zealand 7s coach, Gordon Tietjens will act as the Technical Advisor.
The pool matches will continue throughout the day while the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals will be played at the TFL stadium tomorrow.
