The Manu Samoa 7's rugby team has fired the first warning shot to the Digicel Fiji 7's team in this weekend's Dubai 7's.

The Uale Mai led side will be hoping they can go one better having just missed out in the Cup final for the last two years.

They lost out to England in a thrilling final at last year's tournament but, having finished fifth overall, the 2010/2011 season wasn't the greatest for the Samoan side, who are one of just four sides to have taken the overall Series title   in 2009/2010.

Samoa lost to Australia in the quarterfinal in Gold Coast last weekend is in a tough pool with Fiji, Argentina and the United Emirates in Dubai.

Coach, Stephan Betham said that the teams will be more battle hardened in Dubai and it should be an exciting tournament.
