The Vodafone Fiji 7s team is on track to retain the HSBC World 7s Series title.
Fiji has extended their lead on the series standings and still sit on top with 166 points after a 29-26 defeat to Samoa in the Paris 7s final early this morning.
South Africa is second with 152 points while New Zealand is third with 145 points.
Fiji will only need to reach the Cup quarterfinals of the London 7s this weekend to retain the HSBC World 7s series title.
Fiji failed to register any points in the second half of the Cup Final against Samoa after taking a 26-7 lead at half time.
Leone Nakarawa and Josua Tuisova were rested at halftime.
They were replaced by Waisea Nayacalevu and Samisoni Viriviri.
