The Samoa Invitational VII (7) has confirmed their participation in this weeks Uprising Fiji International 7s.

The side will arrive in Fiji this Wednesday adding further competition to an event that is already being billed as one of the world's toughest rugby 7s tournaments.

At the inaugural Uprising 7s last year, the Samoan Barbarians won the Plate Final with a thrilling 31-26 victory over Navy.

Tournament spokesperson Tahitia Kamea said they are pleased that the Samoans can make it again.

Meanwhile a late surge from voters in the West saw Lautoka win the people's choice award to participate in the Uprising Fiji International 7s Festival, edging out early favourites Nadroga.

The Uprising Fiji International 7's is on this Friday and Saturday at the TFL National Stadium
