Radike Samo will return to Australian rugby after joining the Melbourne Rebels for the upcoming Super Rugby season.

38-year-old Samo who made 23 Test appearances for the Wallabies was a key member of the Reds squad that lifted the Super Rugby trophy in 2011.

Samo said he is very keen to give Super Rugby one last shot and he feel he has a lot to offer.

He said there is a big Pacific Islander rugby family in Melbourne, and his looking forward to becoming part of that.

Samo will join former Reds team‑mates Scott Higginbotham, Mike Harris and Dom Shipperley at the Rebels and he adds depth to Tony McGahan's back row stocks in Melbourne.

The Rebels will face the Crusaders on February 13th in the first Super Rugby match for 2015.
