Fijian journeyman Radike Samo has not missed a beat in a stunning return to Super Rugby for the Queensland Reds.

After two seasons in France and another three in Japan, Reds coach Ewen McKenzie believes there is much better to come from the powerful former Wallabies forward who made his name with the Brumbies a decade ago.

Samo is enjoying an eye catching second coming in Australia only a year after his career appeared over, and he cannot wait for another crack at the Waratahs on Saturday night.

Apart from a wild afro, the former Fiji under 19 representative looked just as big and fit as the Samo who played in two grand final wins for the Brumbies in 2001 and 2004 before playing six Tests for Australia.

The Reds takes on the Waratahs on Saturday at 9.40pm.
