Supermarkets around the country are facing a shortage of Sunsalt.
FijiVillage visited many supermarkets in Suva and found the shelves empty.
The manager for New World said they have been getting Saxa and Pacific salt and the overseas suppliers of Sunsalt have stopped supplying salt.
Meanwhile, RB Patel Manager Sanjeevan Lata said they are also facing the shortage however they will not ration salt for customers.
A Restaurant Owner, Rhea Maharaj said they usually depend on Sunsalt and they have no option but to buy other brands of salt.
Meanwhile, many supermarkets in Labasa and the Western Division are also facing a shortage of salt.
