More than a thousand residents of Sakoca in Tamavua who were allegedly conned by Mukesh Naidu are now uncertain as to how and when they will get their money back.

Alleged conman Mukesh Naidu who has been wanted by Police since August last year allegedly collected close to $3 million from more than a thousand people in Sakoca.

Naidu's company, M. Naidu Development was given a 5 year development lease in Sakoca and it was responsible for developing close to 300 land lots in the area.

This was never completed as Naidu took off with payments received from residents in the area.

He allegedly sold a land lot more than five times.

A resident of Sakoca Sunil Prasad says most of them are poor farmers who have moved from the Northern and Western division.

He says it was unfortunate to witness some of his close friends and neighbors struggle financially after they were misled by Naidu.

Prasad says some residents paid close to $20,000.

Naidu also has several pending cases in court.

More than 144 people filed complaints against Naidu with the Commerce Commission and the matter has been taken to court.

All four people that were wanted for cases of financial advantage by deception with Mukesh Naidu last year have been found but he is still on the run with a bench warrant under his name.

Meanwhile, Police are also looking for Amol Chand and Ronal Sumaru who are wanted for separate cases of obtaining financial advantage by deception in Suva.
