The safety of the people walking along the Suva seawall is now a concern for the Ready Action Unit which is using the Muanikau Police Post as its operation base.

The Unit which is now involved in making local communities safe from criminal activities has deployed 20 officers to the Muanikau Police Post for its operation along the Suva seawall.

RAU Assistant Superintendent of Police Emori Tuisese said the people walking along the seawall every afternoon have become recent victims of crime and therefore people safety is now their concern.

While the RAU is hoping to expand its operation around Fiji, ASP Tuisese said they have also started their joint operation with the Highway Patrol Unit.
