The Vodafone Ba soccer team is concerned about the safety of their players ahead of next week's crucial New World National Super Six League series against Vodafone Labasa.

President Rishi Kumar said after last week's incident where the Rewa players and officials were abused by the Labasa fans, his side will not take any risk in next week's game.

Kumar said they have written a letter to Fiji FA raising their concern on the safety of their players if they travel to the North since two key members of the team are from Labasa.

He added past experience in Subrail Park when former Ba goalkeeper Laisenia Tuba was stoned by spectators, is an experience that Fiji FA should learn from in making a decision.
