We want tourists to know that the same security which they get at the Nadi International Airport will also be felt at the Namalata Airport in Kadavu.
Station Officer for Kadavu Police Station Viliame Soko said since the establishment of the Tourist Police Unit, he wants to ensure that tourists feel safe in Kadavu, especially since tourist arrivals are slowly picking up on the island.
Soko said this is the approach they have taken, and he has instructed his officers to work towards ensuring that tourists feel safe while in Kadavu.
Soko added that on some days during the week, there can be a total of eight flights touching down at the Namalata Airport, which bring in a lot of tourists.
