The Government has been urged to increase or continue with the same budget for next year for Education, Health and Social Welfare Sectors.
The Arya Prathinidhi Sabha of Fiji which owns various primary and secondary schools around the country as well as the University of Fiji believes cutting budgetary allocations in these three areas will adversary affect the system.
Sabha President Kamlesh Arya said in their submission to the Finance Minister, the Sabha has asked for a few things mainly allocations for its University.
Meanwhile, the Public Service Commission is hopeful the 2008 National Budget will provide them with extra funding to cater for the planned reforms in various Government Departments.
Permanent Secretary Taina Tagicakibau said the reforms are vital for the public sector.
Interim Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry is expected to announce the 2008 National budget at the Trade Winds convention center on Friday.
