Suva Grammar School has placed a media ban on its athletes and officials, as they prepare to defend the Suva Zone Two athletics title at the Post Fiji stadium tomorrow.

School principal Ilikimi Kunaqoqo said he has been told not to speak to the media while other teachers also refused to comment on their preparation.

But a close source in the Suva Grammar Athletics team said National reps Jone Delai and Makelesi Bulikiobo have been helping the athletes.

This year Suva Grammar School will not have big names like Niko Verekauta, Iliesa Namosimalua and Miriama Raidiniwaimaro who helped them win last year.

But they will depend on the likes of Ana Meli, the 200 metres gold medallist in the Coke Games last year and Makelesi Tumalevu the senior girls 100 metres silver medallist and gold medallist in the long-jump while the boys division will have many new faces competing in the track and field events.

The Suva Zone Two meet will start tomorrow morning at 9 at the Post Fiji stadium.
