It was a night of paying back to the school that gave them so much as Ex-students of Suva Grammar School dug deep into their pockets to start of their Jubilee Trust Fund with more than $30,000 within 2 hours.
Contributions to the Suva Grammar School 50th Golden Jubilee soli night came as far as China, Hawaii, Sinai, England, New Zealand and individual contributions, as Ex-students looked to start their Trust Fund to help with the repair and maintenance of school property and to help needy students.
Various Ex-students Associations fundraised from the beginning of the year, with some donating other items towards the school.
President of the Ex-students Association Jasmine Tam said she was overwhelmed by the response to the call to give money to help out their former school.
The week long 50th Golden Jubilee Celebrations comes to an end tonight with the Black Tie event at the Vodafone Arena from 6pm.
