The SDL party has requested the Fiji Police Force to provide security personnel for ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase who arrives in Suva on Friday.
National Director Peceli Kinivuwai said Qarase, having served as a Prime Minister is entitled to have his own security detail. He said they are awaiting a response from the Commissioner of Police Commodore Esala Teleni.
Police Spokesperson ASP Uliasi Ravula said they are yet to receive the request.
