The Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua supports the move by the imprisoned coup convict, Josefa Nata who sought forgiveness from former Prime Minister, Mahendra Chaudhry early this week.
SDL's National Director, Peceli Kinivuwai said similar moves have been initiated by the party by inviting the Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama for talks.
Meanwhile the CCF's Executive Director, Reverend Akuila Yabaki said that the nation should learn from Nata's action.
Nata was part of coup leader, George Speight's group in 2000 who held members of the coalition government including Chaudhry hostage for 56 days in the parliamentary complex.
