The SDL Party has rejected the official invitation from His Excellency the President Ratu Josefa Iloilo to be part of the National Council for building a better Fiji.
SDL National Director, Peceli Kinivuwai said while they respect the invitation from the highest office of the land, the SDL will not change it's earlier stance.
Kinivuwai said the Party will write back to the President next week declining the invitation.
The National Council for Building a Better Fiji is co-chaired by Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama and Head of the Catholic Church in Fiji, Archbishop Petero Mataca.
