The Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua Party said although they were ousted from government on the 5th of December last year, they were never involved in the alleged assassination plot.
SDL's National Director Peceli Kinivuwai said he wants to clear the air that they are not part of the alleged plot to assassinate the Interim Prime Minister and others.
Meanwhile, Kinivuwai's mobile phone was also taken away by police and kept by the military for the last 24 hours after his release.
The phone was given back to him by a senior military officer.
