The Soqosoqo Duavata Ni Lewenivanua (SDL) councillors in the Nasinu Town Council have raised concern that not all the councillors approval was taken before the mayoral chambers was given for consultations on the draft Charter by Fiji Labour Party leader Mahendra Chaudhry last night.
Councillor Solomone Yabakivou believes a full council meeting should have been held.
Another councillor, Tevita Bola, said he was only informed on Tuesday that a meeting will be held, however, last night he came to know it was a meeting for consultations on the draft Charter.
Meanwhile, Nasinu Mayor Rajeshwar Kumar said majority of the councillors agreed before the chambers was given to the Labour Party and he has the powers to give his chambers to use for this purpose.
There are 13 Fiji Labour Party and 5 SDL councillors in the Nasinu Town Council.
